SafeGuard is NuViu's revolutionary new system maintenance plan for small and home-based businesses. As combination of pre-paid technical support and our unique Computer Health Check, SafeGuard offers the best maintenance and support package for your systems.

How it Works

SafeGuard is a service, not a product. We recognize that areas such as technical support and emergency services can get very expensive, and for small businesses, those bills can add up quickly. It's not uncommon to place two or three support calls in a month, and wind up paying hundreds of dollars in support fees. Through low-rate monthly plans, we provide the same services, up to a certain number of hours of availability each month, at a flat rate. This makes it much easier for you to budget for these services, rather than to receive unexpected invoices. Most on-call consultants and technical support representatives charge between $50 and $100 an hour, typically with minimum charges for emergency call-ins. SafeGuard Plans offer support and maintenance services at significantly reduced rates.

Additional Information

  • Initial setup fees may be required for certain elements, such as a first-time Computer Health Check for each computer, and backup schedule setup for workstations and servers.
  • Emergency calls cover up to 2 hours of on-site support, and can typically be responded to within 2 hours from placing the call. Time beyond the 2 hour limit will use available on-site technical support hours. Most emergency calls can be resolved with 1 hour. Some restrictions on emergency availability apply, depending on your business hours and operation.
  • Bronze & Silver Plans have a coverage area of London, Ontario city limits.
  • Gold Plan has a coverage of up to 50km outside London city limits.
  • Emerald Plan has a coverage of 120km outside London city limits.
  • Outside of coverage area, a mileage rate may apply. Contact us for details.
  • All plans must be prepaid within 10 business days before the beginning of the coverage month. All standard service rates will apply if an account is not up to date before the beginning of the coverage period.
  • Prepaid plans may be cancelled for a full refund of any outstanding months within 14 days from the next month of coverage. For instance, if the entire 2006 year were prepaid, but then cancelled on July 18th (15 days before the next month), the refund would be for the months of August-December. Cancelling on July 19th would result in a refund for the months of September-December. In such a case, plan coverage for August would continue as usual.
